Why do they have magazines at hospitals? It’s not to keep you occupied while you wait with constant anticipation for your name to be called; it’s to keep you sick. All day there are people reading the same magazines, wiping their nose, coughing, or making some other non-sanitorial gesture that’s filling those magazines with germs. It’s even worse for the people who aren’t sick and are only there for support or because their friend could have possibly killed someone had he driven himself. Not only is the hospital preventing the sick for becoming healthy, they’re acquiring new customers at the same time. What a brilliantly horrific business strategy. I would like to personally shake the hand of the man who came up with that scheme, that is unless he just finished reading a magazine from a hospital of course.
